I am a major Harry Potter nerd, and like many people, I have a lot of opinions. I constantly see people on the internet saying clearly untrue things about Harry Potter, and I thought it was time that I told everyone else how wrong they are about everything.
This is not a blog for Harry Potter theories. I love interesting theories that expand on the canon of the books, but this blog will not be primarily focused on that. While I might mention a couple of my own theories a few times, this blog is mainly my opinions on the Harry Potter world and its characters. For example, "Luna Lovegood is an excellent character and everyone who believes otherwise doesn't like happiness" is an opinion, whereas "Luna Lovegood is actually a mind-reading time traveler from the moon" is a theory.
This blog will be almost entirely focused on the original book series. I may mention the movie adaptations a couple times, but the movies are not canon. They're just adaptations (and not very good ones, in my opinion). I also will not be discussing the Cursed Child more than absolutely necessary. While I might not hate that play as much as some other people, I don't personally consider it to be canon. I might talk about Fantastic Beasts a little bit, since I actually liked that movie, but this blog is primarily about the original seven books. Also, things that J. K. Rowling said on twitter or Pottermore or anything else are NOT canon unless I personally like them. Because that's the way canon works. If I like it, it's canon. If I don't, it's not.
Again, this blog is a blog for opinions. I might believe that my opinions are right, but you might disagree. And that's fine. You're perfectly welcome to be wrong if you want to be. If you think that I am wrong about something, please comment and tell me how wrong I am. Contrary to what it may seem, I am actually willing to change my opinions if I'm given a good enough reason.
